Re: FTOPS 300 - Kings & Queens - 2 hands
1) check, shove/call turn. shoving flop i think only gets calls by As and this way it will let BB bluff/call with worse PP
2) shove. 25% of your stack is in the middle. Also 25% of UTG+2 stack, there is a good chance he isnt getting away from his Ax here. |

Hand #2 Full Tilt Poker, NL Hold'em Tournament, 120/240 Blinds, 25 Ante, 9 Players LeggoPoker Hand History Converter MP2: 4,770 Hero (CO): 4,720 BTN: 6,962 SB: 10,668 BB: 15,930 UTG: 39,929 UTG+1: 5,470 UTG+2: 4,040 MP1: 8,973 Pre-Flop: (585) Q Q dealt to Hero (CO) 2 folds, UTG+2 raises to 960, 2 folds Hero? Shoves it or wait for safe flop? [/ QUOTE ] This question shows a severe fundemental lack of understanding about tournament poker. What exactly is your thought process for justifying a call and getting it in on a "safe" flop? What do you think his UTG+2 raising range is? Which of those hands is he calling a pf shove with? What do you think his continuation bet frequency will be when he whiffs his pocket pair on an ace high flop?... I could keep going but it seems like you are not thinking critically but instead you are thinking about how many times he flops an ace with his AK vs. your QQ. I'll give you a hint, you are losing because you only have 4,720 chips left because you call too much and wait for safe flops. You are losing because you don't have people covered when you do race with QQ vs. AK and you can't afford to lose the flip (with a nice overlay as a favorite). You are not losing because you got your money in as a favorite against his range and just got 'unlucky' |

Re: FTOPS 300 - Kings & Queens - 2 hands
check first one, what ziza said.
this is kinda harsh but the second one is a ridiculously trivial shove, not sure why its posted. |

Re: FTOPS 300 - Kings & Queens - 2 hands
hand 1 is def a check and call/shove turn
hand 2 is a shove, i think JJ is somewhat interesting since villain opened 4x |
