[100nl] KQ on button, flop Q hi and unknown starts firing...
Villain is unknown 1-tabler. My button limp was kinda bad, only reason I did it was because CO is a loose, volatile guy with only 30BB. BB also has 20 BB and SB is an unknown, so I wanted to kinda hit something before building a pot. What should I do here under this pressure from a complete unknown?

Re: [100nl] KQ on button, flop Q hi and unknown starts firing...
When the CO has 30BB you can still raise to $5 preflop and cbet the flop without pricing yourself in with missed overcards. If you hit the flop you stand a great chance of getting the CO's remaining stack if he's loose and volatile like you say. A pf raise would only commit you if the CO had around 20BB.
As played I'd fold preflop after the SB raises because KQ doesn't fare too well against the standard raising range (TT+, AQ+) from the blinds. |
