Default 50NL - one more sucky river

The villain is an unknown - this was my first orbit at the table. I just won a largish pot after flopping a BB special. How's my line? Can I call the river?

I think I lay it down on the river. I don't really think you're good one time in three here unless you have a read on the villain. Against an unknown, I'd save the bet and wander on.

Anybody dump this preflop? I'll play ace-rag from the SB on a passive table, but I dont make a habit of it in general. Is that too tight?

Also I bet the river myself probably.

Really? Is this a clear call and I'm missing something, or is it marginal? I can see the case for the river bet, but as it was played, do we really think the villain is bluffing here 1/3 of the time? If he's not, then he very probably has us beat. I suppose he might have been floating along with just an ace or middle/bottom two and saw our river check as a chance to push us off a better hand, but I find that unlikely.

CO has a draw a lot, so if I check river I'm always calling.

It's not a trivial call, but I expect to win it enough of the time.

I would fold preflop because hitting ace you don't know where you are and you can't never ever hit top two. Also wheel draw is not nut draw. I wouldn't complete.

As played call.

What bet sizing are you throwing out on the river, CO has like $15 pot is $18.

I agree that we bet the river, He will put you on a draw yourself enough of the time and call w/ a decent range here. However, he is much more likely to check his marginal hand through then the times he decides to bet the river himself or run a total bluff w/ his missed draw. That doesn't mean he won't ever, so sicne we did check the river it should have been with the intention of him betting a worse hand, so we obv. have to call here.

I'm just torn if I think shoving the river looks more bluffish to him, or if we should be betting like $8ish and calling a shove.

Essentially the theme of this hand is this - We have two pair vs a small stack donk on a drawy board he could have gotten to the river with a lot of hands here, we are repping a lot of hands here. Lets load up the bus to value town.

I don't think PF is a clear call. If you call, what do you hope to see on the flop? If A flops you have a kicker problem.
