Childhood Trips Looking For Dead Bodies

I fondly reflect on my childhood trips when Pa and me would spend whole days dragging the rivers for dead bodies.
Every little boy should get to go on at least one hunt for a missing person with their father.

This time something went horribly wrong.

I'm reading between the lines here, but I'm pretty sure the 3 year old kid murdered his Dad. It's too obvious.
