how much doeas a pro make?

I never really tought about being a pro, surely not a TV pro but I am curious to know how much can someone make with online playing only.
when I read that many players in the forum make a really "decent life" I would like to understand the extension of that because approaching money it's always down to the individual, if you are a student even earning 20k a year will make a difference but if you have a decent job you'll never quit for that you'll probably need to make 200k a year.
So how much does an average pro make?

In no limit you typically try to make two buy ins a day, so at a 1kNL game you'd make about 2k a day.

In limit it's about four dollars an hour, five if you play the 100-200 game.

That's only if you're real good. Most pros only make about $3.50/hr multi-tabling the 100/200 game.

But in no limit, even mediocre players typically make about $800K a year.

But everyone knows that the real money is made at the blackjack tables.

why blackjack? you are actually gambling there, not much skills involved, at least not as much as in poker.
Otherwise Casino would not have BJ tables!!!

Anyway, a mediocre pro makes 800K a year? I don't really believe that.
According to arbitrage theory: if a mediocre player (ie an average player) can make 800k$ which is about 15 times the average national income in US in a very short while almost everyone would be tempted to quit their jobs to be a mediocre pro!!!
And this will skew down any possible profit.
I consider myself a decent player so probably I would be a mediocre pro...I will quit my job tomorrow!! :-)

I only did 425k last year. I would've probably done 725-ish, but I had a bad December.
