Default 3/6 tt vs a passive

villain 40/8

Preflop is a sometimes raise; sometimes call.

sorry converter kept screwing this one up:



- x sitting in seat 1 with $591.00
- y sitting in seat 2 with $750.00
- villain sitting in seat 3 with $833.22 [Dealer]
- hero sitting in seat 4 with $1000.40
- z sitting in seat 5 with $87.30
- a sitting in seat 6 with $739.50

hero posted the small blind - $3.00
posted the big blind - $6.00

folded
utg 1 raised - $24.00
folded
villain called - $24.00
hero called - $24.00
folded

** Dealing the flop: 3 of Spades, 9 of Hearts, 4 of Spades

** Dealing the turn: 3 of Diamonds
hero bet - $234.00
villain called - $234.00

** Dealing the river: 7 of Clubs
hero ???

I would v-bet like $250-300 to ensure a call from a 9, which I think he may fold if you shove.

I shoved. Villain calls for time. I start to chant, 'please call; please call; please call'. Villain then writes in chat 'I have jj'.

I started to chant in my head. It went from 'please call' to 'oh fk, please fold' pretty quick.

You still want him to call because he really has A9, but wants to make it seem like he is folding a better hand, problem is once he types JJ into chat he is def folding.
