Standard flop 3-bets against small raises?
These might be super standard, but I feel like I generally overplay / tip my hand a bit early.
In both cases, blinds are .25/.50 in a fairly decent home game, 9-handed. Hand #1: Stacks are $60, villian is unknown. I have A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in second position and make it $1.75 to go. Villian calls directly behind, rest fold. Flop ($4.25): A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I lead for $3.50, Vill. raises to $7.00, Hero raises to $22. Hand 2: Effective stacks are $38, villian is aggressive and thinking. Only read is that we've seen him overplay and show down two suited connectors in raised pots. I have K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in third position and raise to $1.75. Villian is fifth position and calls, rest fold. Flop ($4.25): 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I lead for $3.50, Villian raises to $9.00, Hero pushes all-in for $38. |

Re: Standard flop 3-bets against small raises?
Yah I think it is pretty standard but why do you only raise to 1.75 pre and not 2.00? Your giving them slightly better odds to play, if its a home game Id even consider raising more then 2.00
