Default Dead Man\'s Hand - 4/8

I've played with both SB and C/O before. SB is a biker looking guy with crazy spike earings. He plays decent poker (for Commerce), but is too loose. C/O is an Older Woman who plays the 9/18 as well. I'm not overly impressed with her because she's a real b!tc#, but she's not a terrible poker player.

Anyway, Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] OTB. 2 callers, Hero raises, SB calls, callers call. 4 to the flop

(8sb) flop is T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Checked to hero who bets, all call.

(6bb) Turn is A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. sb wakes up and bets, 1 folds, C/O raises, Hero thinks for a minute and opts to call, SB calls.

(12bb) River blanks. sb checks, C/O bets, Hero calls, sb calls.

That A certainly looks like gin for everybody.

I think I'm three banging that turn. I think we're almost always ahead here. SB looks like Ace/face that peeled and caught. He's not waking up with a draw, and I don't think he would donk any other hand than that. CO is troublesome. Of course, your primary concern is AT, but that is a tiny part of her range. I'm going to give her Axs, QJs, Ax>T. Anything else? Honestly, I think she's going to show up with A5 a huge portion of the time here. You're beating all that range except the AT, no? I think that makes it a three bet on the turn.

As played, unless the SB is so bad he's going to call two cold on the river I guess the call is fine; you're getting paid the same anyway if he calls. I still wouldn't want to count on that though.

i would 3bet the turn. i wouldn't love it, but it's probably the right thing to do. the pot's grown large, we're often ahead, and if we get SB to calldown with AJ or fold AJ we come out ahead. i don't know what CO could have(8T, A5, AT, a set) but we're ahead of alot of her range as well. plus it's always fun to get cussed at if she shows up with A5 or 8T. if she had a propensity to wait for the turn with big hands, i might reevaluate the decision since it narrows and skews her range.
