400 NL: Check or Value Bet Decision
Villain is "MBOE". He plays pretty tight and the way this hand plays out I do not put him on a str8. Do you check or bet on the river? Do you play the turn any different? Re: 400 NL: Check or Value Bet Decision
You minraised to 8 preflop. Don't.
I don't like the size of your turn raise, I'd prob bump it to 190, makes this river an even easier shove. But how can you not shove this ever? |

Re: 400 NL: Check or Value Bet Decision
OK Thanks for the advice guys - was starting to doubt myself - I did shove and walked into a set.

Re: 400 NL: Check or Value Bet Decision
I think you played the turn really poorly against MBOE. He's pretty nitty but throws in random pot pot pot bluffs and stuff so calling the turn seems best to me.

[/ QUOTE ] Uhh, what calls this turn and calls this river that we are ahead of?? I don't see villain calling with TT. The only hand I can think of is a retardedly played AQs or something. I am a tighty so I vote check. Yes raise turn a little harder. |

Re: 400 NL: Check or Value Bet Decision
Looks like I was right to be confused. There is virtually no consensus in opinion on turn and river decisions....
