QQ and he keeps raising (shorthanded)
.5/1 5max
Don't have many hands on UTG but he seems tightish and aggressive enough to raise with a good draw, but straightforward otherwise. The other guys are really loose and passive. Hero in BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Preflop: UTG calls, CO calls, BTN calls, SB calls, Hero raises, everyone calls. Flop (10 SB): J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5-handed) SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, 1 fold, BTN calls, SB calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG calls, BTN calls, SB calls. 3-bet ok? The flop is semi-drawy, but I figured the pot's too big and my position relative to UTG too bad for protection at any point to be viable. I put UTG on a J with a good kicker or 89 at this point, possibly a slowplaying set. Two pair seemed unlikely. Turn (11 BB): T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, BTN calls, Hero? T isn't a great card and I doubt I'm ahead, if I even was on the flop. Plan for rest of the hand? |

Re: QQ and he keeps raising (shorthanded)
I would call the turn raise and the river for 1 more bet.
Pot is big, and hopefully UTG will have been overplaying a weaker hand. You also have some outs against 2 pair hands. Make a note about what UTG had. |

Re: QQ and he keeps raising (shorthanded)
Flop I like. His range on the turn is pretty much JT, 66, 77, maybe TT. AJ seems hihly unlikely now given the strength you have shown. Suppose its JT, 66, 77.
That gives us: (2*3+2*3+8*9)/15 = 5.6 outs on average. So it's a very easy call, even if we knew we are behind. And on the river the pot will be big enough to pay off I think. |
