Quicktime VISTA HELP HELP
I've had this probelm for a while at first I though the problem was with Itunes. But it appears the problem is with Quicktime. Whenever I try and open it I get the following message;
""Microsoft Visual C++ Program c:\program.....quicktime.exe A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated."" Now quicktime worked originally for about 2 days in conjunction with Itunes. When it was originally installed on my comp. CPU stats; 4gigs ram 500 gigs hd Intel core duo 2 processor Vista operating system anything else you would like to know pleas state so. I also am having difficulty completely uninstalling quicktime. It will run through the motions and then the program still remains. Anything you guys can suggest would be awesome as I know ur all much better than I at this stuff. |

Re: Quicktime VISTA HELP HELP
in the Registry (start-run-regedit) choose edit-find and type in quicktime.
I have a folder in the registry called Native Media Players and Quick Time is located there. You can try looking for the same on your computer and deleting it from there. I don't know for certain if it will work and messing with the registry can potentially cause problems. Quicktime also has it's own folder so you might want to hit F3 to look at all instances of a mention of Quicktime in the registry if you go that route. |
