I timebanked the turn and shoved the river fairly quickly. I've already determined that my turn call was bad since he bet so quickly, but once he checked the river I was fairly positive he had a weak ace. |

fact that you rarely overbet shove river is irrelevant. I don't think I like this at all, I'm really fine with just turning the hand into a bluff and betting the flop against most people.

I didn't really mention that for metagame concerns, it's more for saying why I'm inexperienced in situations like this.

OK I never bluff at all so I'm even more clueless.

i think turn call is kinda brutal, just bet flop you can still acheive the same thing against draws while folding out a ton of hands that beat you

Yeah.. I like a flop bet. It's close tho.
Def fold turn as played. River is awesome. |

As played I like river since I don't see a random making a hero call here, and since your button range should be perceived to be pretty wide I can see him giving you credit. |

Re: Blind steal hand in warmup against someone with a dog in their avatar.
I would call with an A here, but I don't have a dog in my avatar, which I guess is the key to the hand. IMO, an overbet into someone who has shown real strength in a hand is likely to be a value bet, an overbet into someone who has not is likely to be a bluff.
Calling the turn in position on draw-heavy boards is the nuts. It's how I bluffed off most of my stack in the Borgata 10K event and the WSOP 5K event. I'd bet less on the river here, 2/3 pot or so, against someone halfway decent, but defer to your expertise on dog avatars. |
