Re: $10NL JJ in 3 bet pot
Since it's usually pretty easy to narrow down villain's range when they 3-bet, I like to stove situations like this:
Board: 5s 7s 9d Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 48.748% 46.96% 01.78% 19063 724.00 { JhJs } Hand 1: 51.252% 49.47% 01.78% 20079 724.00 { TT+, AKs, AKo } and when we expand the range to include AQs and AQo: Board: 5s 7s 9d Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 55.624% 54.13% 01.49% 30548 840.50 { JhJs } Hand 1: 44.376% 42.89% 01.49% 24201 840.50 { TT+, AQs+, AQo+ } However, I don't think these ranges take into account the flop action. After this flop action, I'd say we're looking at TT+,AKs or AQs: Board: 5s 7s 9d Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 41.716% 39.69% 02.02% 12968 660.50 { JhJs } Hand 1: 58.284% 56.26% 02.02% 18381 660.50 { TT+, AQs+ } We're slightly behind that range. It's kind of a tough situation on the flop. We want to see where we're at and not let this guy c-bet AKo or AQo and catch up on the turn, but raising here pretty much makes us pot committed. |

I call flop and reevaluate turn. There really is no point in raising... you are WA/WB.
