40$ NL Shootout, TP in trouble
This is from the final of 4 player shootout tournament. Game has been going on for about 20 minutes. I've been very aggro, raising preflop and continuation betting almost every hand when on the button. Villain has not once check-raised me on the flop, but I think he might be steaming a little bit. He has been really passive.
Seat 1: villain (2,705) Seat 2: hero (3,295) hero posts the small blind of 30 villain posts the big blind of 60 The button is in seat #2 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to hero [9s Tc] hero raises to 150 villain calls 90 *** FLOP *** [Ts 6s 3d] villain checks hero bets 200 villain raises to 900 hero ??? I'am fairly new to HUSNG's and having lot of problems in situations like these when the blind are pretty high. Do I move in here ? |

Re: 40$ NL Shootout, TP in trouble
The blinds aren't that high at all relative to your stack . You definitely shouldn't fold , especially if you've been c-betting often . However , you should ask yourself the following questions :
1)When was the last time he raised your flop bet ? 2) Is he capable of raising with middle pair ? 3) Would he make a semi-bluff play with a flush draw ? |

Fold, he trapped you with something you won't like at the river.

A fold does look better if he's not check-raised you in 20 minutes .
Generally , when you're very aggressive, it means that your opponent's r/c-r range should be wider . I'm not too sure, but maybe it took him 20 minutes to realize this . |

Re: 40$ NL Shootout, TP in trouble
This seems like a pretty simple fold.
PS, the blinds are not that high relative to your stack... ~45bbs deep is deep enough to lay down TPWK here. |
