Venetian. Nicer poker room than Bellagio or Wynn. Cocktail service is better. Tournaments are MUCH better. Downside is you need 8 hours of play (I think) for the poker room rate.

Also might consider Casars. Their room is good too.

5 hours play at the "V".
Also the games are not tough and the "W" and "B" are an easy walk from the "V".

Thanks for the info. I am leaning toward the V as well. However, I have heard good things about the 1-3 No Cap games at the Wynn, but I don't really like the idea of playing with $3 chips. Am I crazy?

I played in that game a lot last trip. It was a lot of fun but it was confusing for me using the $3 chips. I made a habit of saying "8 chips" or whatever my bet was and before long everyone at the table was doing the same thing.

bellagio. i will never stay anywhere else, ever again, if i can possibly help it.

the games are pretty juicy, sure, but i loved that room, the food was utterly spectacular, and the night before my flight home i was coming down with a cold so i called room service to request a fairly elaborate breakfast get delivered at a very early hour the next day.

the persons reply;

"sir this is the bellagio. whatever you want, its no problem at all."

your apprehension is understandable, but you'll find that using these odd-ball chips works in your favor. you'll start calling out bets by saying "20 chips" instead of "$60 total". the drunk calling station will be more willing to call a "20 chip" bet cuz it just sounds like a smaller bet vs. calling "$60 total".

I play the Wynn game dimensionally. "I bet 2 inches". Seriously, it doesn't matter what the denomination on the chip is, just count chips. If there are 10 chips in the pot and you're aiming for a pot-size bet, shove in half a stack. You'll get used to the $3 chips--don't let that deter you. And yes it is a small NL game that plays perhaps a bit more like NL2/5 than NL1/2.

I wouldn't say Bellagio is an easy walk from Venetian. But it ain't bad unless you have plantar fasciitis, or something similar. And the weather lately in Vegas has been stupendously wonderiferous (other than being a tad on the windy side).

I can't stand the Bellagio. I'd probably pick the Venetian.

As to the why, because if I'm there for that long, I want convenient. Bell's luxury is too much a PITA. I'm like the earlier poster that likes to eat in my room. Not because I dislike people, which I do, but to just eat and do nothing else in a restaurant feels like I'm wasting too much time. I like to multi-task. The Bell makes that tough. Only the coffee shop is open late at night and they refuse to pack your food to go, because they want you to spend the money for room service. They actually told me that! Fifty bucks for a cheeseburger and coke is too much, just on principal.

The Venetian isn't a whole lot better late at night, but at least they have a couple food courts for the rest of the time. As mentioned earlier, their tournaments blow the other two out of the water. Bellagio has no formal food comps, you have to bribe the floor. Although to be honest, you'll be lucky to get 2 meals for the trip either at V or W, considering the cost of their food.

Agree...Bellagio is gay..too bad they have a monopoly on 10/20NL+ I have stayed at Wynn every single time I have been to Vegas except once...but I am going to Venetian tomorrow to stay for the weekend so I can give you a true comparison....I am under the impression I will still like Wynn best.

It's not actually $50...its probably something more reasonable like $15 or even $20 right?

I have gotten like 5 buffet comps in 5 days at the Wynn PLUS random room service $20 credits...they treat you really really well there once they get to know you...and even before they knew me they still comped me pretty decently.
