Re: NL50: 2 overpair hands - standard?
Hand 2 looks standard, though I'd probably raise it a bit more PF. On hand 2 bet the turn out. As played you should bet the river out to gain value from worse hands.

Re: NL50: 2 overpair hands - standard?
Hand 1 is standard, i play it the same.
Hand 2 i would bet out the turn. As played, i would re-raise on the turn as I think you are good and should try to get the money in. |

[ QUOTE ]
Hand 2 i would bet out the turn. As played, i would re-raise on the turn as I think you are good and should try to get the money in. [/ QUOTE ] Given the stack sizes, reraise = all-in. I didn't like this against a nit and tried to get a cheap showdown. Of course, i would have called an all-in on the river - seen this way, pushing seems to be right edit: argh, i forgot to include villain's stats. corrected. |

Re: NL50: 2 overpair hands - standard?
Hand 1 - I'd probably play this the same vs an unknown
Hand 2 - Not sure what hands he could be limp/calling a raise with. If he doesn't like to raise much preflop, TT/88 could certainly be in his range, although I don't think he'll just check behind on river if he had a set. AT is likely, maybe A8s. I'd either double barrel flop/turn or as played value bet river. |
