Need to improve my game

I used to play online poker seriously a few years ago, but haven't played all that much recently. I want to start playing again and am wondering what you guys would recommend to get my game back up to par. The thing I am most curious about is the Pokertracker software, I have never used it before and quite frankly don't have a clue how to use it. Also is there any other software that you would recommend besides PT (I plan on playing on stars if that helps). I have read quite a bit on here the past couple weeks to brush up and I think my game is still probably okay, I think I just need to be pointed in the right direction as how to analyze my game, fix my leaks, etc.
