Re: Is this river bet too much?
with his stack size, i'd rather just shove the turn. as played any bet effectively puts him AI on the river, and he's going to fold all of the hands he bricked. if he's on a bluff, he's folding to your turn raise or your river value bet anyway.

Re: Is this river bet too much?
yeah your betting into a pot that is what, like 17 or something i think your bet is just fine.
a raise/shove on the turn i think is optimal because you are either getting all of his money or not anymore. so i would say push |

Re: Is this river bet too much?
Leading the turn shows either a lot of strong or a bluff. If he gets called there, there's a good chance he'll shut down on the river.
So, you maximize expectation by going AI on the turn - you won't get any more out of him if he's bluffing anyway, and there's a good chance he has a hand that will call here. |

Re: Is this river bet too much?
He calls river with 98 or better pretty much always and A9/A8 if he's not too good.
I think I just shove turn since he's more likely to call that than after he misses on the river. |

Re: Is this river bet too much?
Did you have any read on villain in this hand, or are we going with "no reads," so we have to just assume he's a generic $25NL villain?

Re: Is this river bet too much?
Raise/Shove the turn so you can make money from sets/twopair, alot of cards can ruin the action for you, and to not let 10J price himself for a free shot. If villan folds, then you werent getting too much from his midpair/over pair/bluff anyways on the river.
