25Nl TT on low flop OOP, line?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Hero ($29.05) MP2 ($13.90) CO ($21.40) Button ($66.50) SB ($52.80) BB ($15.35) UTG ($3.75) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, Button raises to $1.75, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.75. Flop: ($3.85) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $1, Hero raises to $3.5, Button calls $2.50. Turn: ($10.85) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $5.25, Hero folds. Final Pot: $10.85 I felt this line would do best to get some money out of AK and possibly fold out JJ/QQ. Thoughts on this? Does anyone donk here? It's cheaper for sure, but not as strong as check-raising, and if I donk and it's called, I haven't learned much. |

Did you have a read?

Re: 25Nl TT on low flop OOP, line?
I was new to the table and I'd seen villain stack off with AA on a pretty dangerous board. Other than that, nothing really as I was at table for about an orbit.

Re: 25Nl TT on low flop OOP, line?
at 25NL i have seen a lot of people play this weakish line on the flop with big overpairs probably hoping for some action. I'd put him on AA or KK.

Re: 25Nl TT on low flop OOP, line?
Yeah I thought the flop bet was really weak and was either AK/AQ looking for a cheap steal or KK/AA looking to keep me around to build a big pot. Also, is this just a c/f on the flop?

I think your line is fine here. I play it the same unless I have a read on villain.

why c/r the flop and not lead out on the turn? certainly the 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] didn't change the strength of your hand in the villains eyes. i'd like to know what you thought villain was putting you on.

why c/r the flop and not lead out on the turn? [/ QUOTE ]Villains range is small and has many more hands that beat us than hands that we beat. I don't particularly like the flop line but I have a hard time coming up with a better one. |

[/ QUOTE ] the way it was played, villain is calling $2.50 more into a pot that is now $8.85, close to $9. i'm thinking... i raised preflop and called a reraise, now i have an overpair to the board. shouldn't i lead the flop here - say pot or the $3.50 making the pot just over $7 - and then fold to a raise or if called, c/f the river? i must be missing something here. btw, great job on the raiders today! c/c flop, play poker on the turn, but start by checking again.
c/r isn't that bad. I guess you c/f the turn as played, but i don't like the spot. |
