Default What would you do?

I only have 7 hand on opponent. I had been pretty aggressive and stealing a lot so I put him on a wide range of hands but never really had a good read. I thought he might have an Ace. How would you have played this hand? Would you have gotten out before the turn?

I'll post the results after a few responses because I really want to see if I made the right or wrong play.

Tough spot. It's either call or fold. He evidently likes his hand, so he won't fold to a push and you're drawing in all likelyhood to either 0 or 13 outs, so you don't really have a lot of equity here - about 24.46% against 77,A8s,K8s,Q8s,J8s,T8s,98s,87s,A8o,K8o,98o and if you hit your straight but pair his kicker, you're going to get stacked everytime.

The only advantage is that you're in position, so you will probably stack him if you do hit (and he doesn't fill up, if he needs to). However, I don't think this is enough. I'd fold.

Fold the flop. That is a nasty flop to draw to a straight on. If you think he was bluffing, why did you call with T high? Also, donīt forget to include stacks.

Good point. I never thought about that. If he is bluffing and I call and catch, he will fold to a bet anyway. I think thats what you are getting at anyway.

Don't I weigh in the backdoor straight flush draw as well? Or is that only if I plan on going to the river not matter what?

Flop is the worst. Fold there.

As played you probably have to fold.

Why is the flop so bad? Boats and flushes?

Well, here is how the hand played out. Villian turned over K7 of diamonds.

Absolute Poker

Stack sizes:
UTG: $101.98
Hero: $60.20
CO: $71.35
Button: $51.50
SB: $3.04
BB: $97

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2</font>, 3 folds, BB calls.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($4.25, 2 players)
BB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $3</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $8.5</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($21.25, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">BB bets $17</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises all-in $49.7</font>, BB calls.

River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($120.65, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $120.65)

Results:
Final pot: $120.65
<font color="#ffffff">BB Shows Kd 7d</font>
<font color="#ffffff">Hero Shows 10s 9s</font>

I was actually hoping he had a seven because I didn't think he could call with it since my PFR could easily put me on a higher PP.

I figured if he held an 8 or a bigger PP, then he would call and I'd be gambling at slightly less than even money.

I thought he would probably fold any draws.

The chance of him folding coupled with my strong draw was my reasoning for the play I made. But, as I see from the responses, I never should have gotten myself in this position in the first place.
