Default Backing/ Staking Question- PLEASE HELP!!

I made a deal with a guy to have him deposit 50 dollars online and split the profits with him 50/50. If I were to lose the 50 dollars it would be all on him. I ended up running up the 50 dollars into 10000, 5000 of which he takes. Since it was over the course of a couple days and was several sessions I can't help but feel like I made a bad deal to allow him to take 5000 on his 50 dollar investment. Please help me out and let me know if I got ripped off or if it was an OK deal for me. Also let me know of a better way to work out a future deal. Thanks I appreciate it.

I don't think that it's a bad deal because he took all the risk in giving you the money so he is entitled to his half of the money. If you lost it all then like you said, he would take all the loss. Now you have 5000 and can win your own money. I would work from there.

Obv OP was a brilliant thinker, & cashed out to split the small profits and put the 5000 back in, and ran that up to $10000000000000000000.

This was my immediate reaction, and I can't fathom why a new poster would choose poker theory for this, it's not as if it's on the top of the menu anymore.
