Default confused with odds!!

need a little help here please.I'm not very good with odds so this is probably a stupid question but here it goes.
Example
KK vs JJ
I know everyone says that the jacks are a 4:1 underdog,

is it the same to say that the kings are a 4:1 favorite
or is it actually .25:1?

Thanks for ur help, and feel free to make fun of me, lol

Default Re: confused with odds!!

Your odds in favor of winning with pocket jacks against pocket kinds is 1:4 or 0.25:1 . Or equivalent this means one time you win and 4 times you lose .

Your odds against winning with pocket jacks against pocket kings is 4:1 . This means that 4 times you lose and 1 time you win .

Your odds in favor of kings winning over pocket jacks is 4:1 . Likewise , your odds against pocket kings winning over pocket jacks is 1:4 .
