Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets 45</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises 90</font>, Hero [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] What is the best line here? Bet/call flop and c/f turn is very weak right? |

why are you playing a limit husng?
- capppit calling and reevaluating is fine you don't really have another play that is good w/o reads, do you have any history? |

I think this is NL .
You're right that calling the flop and check-folding does seem like a weak play and players will start to run you over if you fold this easily . There is nothing wrong with calling the flop and making a turn bet of around 60% of the pot .If you get raised , you probably know where you stand . If villain calls , then there is a decent chance he's on a flush or straight draw and tried to be fancy with his mini-raise . Since you probably wouldn't have checked if you had trip 8's , it's a good idea you bet the turn . |
