I don't like a 2nd barrel here. As u said, villain has pretty donkish stats and probably is some sort of calling station. He will call u with almost every hand he has called on the flop. Additionally the 3c is not the scarecard you want to see when you make a 2nd barrel. I probably would check the turn and fold to any bet. If he has got a weak hand or a draw he will just check behind and you can reevaluate on the river. With his low agression factor, he will bet only hands that have you beat here. So c/f river here.

you don't mind him calling the turn with all the hands he called the flop with cos there are alot of things he called with that you have beat, random overcards, MP, BP, flushdraws. he may have a low agression overall, but have a look at his river agression. some donks will always fire the river when checked to with all there range

I dont think I like checking the turn here at all. We are giving this villain too much credit+ chance to catch up for free if we check. You got minraised, then chucked nh, better than c/c c/cing down. I dont see much benefit in checking the turn at all.

But what about the calling stations who call everytime regardless of how much you bet because they are too dumb to realise? If they peel every flop I don't see too much point betting more unless I have a hand.

When a donk is on my left I generally raise smaller preflop with my average holdings knowing he will call anyway, this gives us a chance to get the pot heads up and then I basically punish him post flop when I make a hand. That being said I raise my big hands more preflop.

I like the turn på protect against various draws.

You also get value from a lot of 1-pair hands: A6 ect.

Turn is obv a fold, he isn't bluffing.

Two questions:

What do you do on a blank(ish) river: non diamond, < 9 ?

What do you if you have AA on the turn with the same action?
