Default AQs in possible trouble

HJ is 25/6. He's fairly aggressive postflop, but the hands he's shown down with have been reasonable. BB is really laggy.

1/2, 9-handed.
Hero is UTG+2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Preflop: 2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, HJ calls,3 folds, BB calls.

Flop (6.5 SB): K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3-handed)
BB checks, Hero bets, HJ raises, BB calls, Hero?

I'm calling and leading any non-diamond, non-broadway, turn. If it comes back two to me on the turn I'm done.

Unless, HJ flopped a straight, I would imagine that his range could include a weaker Ace, 2 pair or even a set.

Its hard to put the BB on a range, but I imagine that he could have paired any part of the board, have a different pair or straight or flush draw.

Anyway, there is a chance that your hand may be best and you have some outs to a straight.

So, I think that I would call the flop raise, closing the action.

My plan would probably be to call down unimproved if the action was not too heavy and the turn and river were reasonably safe.

my default is to 3bet since we're oop. based on your description, i think HJ is raising quite a few hands that we beat. we also have overlay from BB and some redraw potential.

I decided to 3-bet, though in retrospect I think Kerowo has the right idea.

Hero 3-bets, HJ caps, BB calls, Hero calls.

Turn (9.25 BB): A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB checks, Hero checks, HJ bets, BB calls, Hero?

Do I have to go to showdown now? I'm still behind QJ, AT, and AK edit to add: and TT, which given HJ's flop play are his most likely holdings.

Call.

You still have a few outs if you are behind, and the pot is quite big.

I would also probably call the river if it is not for 2 bets.

i'd call flop and c/c down.

after you 3bet you obviously have to continue past the turn when you hit that ace. you have a million outs vs. QJ and even 4.5 vs. AT. if he has TT you have 7 outs. i think his most likely hand is QJ.
