Default use of the term: resteal

I have heard people use the term resteal in seemingly different contexts lately that made me think the word may have more than one meaning.

I know the term means when you are a blind and someone tries to steal, you go over the top.

However, it seems that people have used this term in the context of calling the blinds (when not in the blinds) with the intention of going over the top all in if someone raises. Am I just misinterpreting?

The first is the correct definition.

The second would be more slowplaying, never heard of re-stealing in the second context.
