Fake ID in Vegas

moving to vegas and i will be 20 for three more months but i plan on playing a lot live, i have a very good fake of the old new jersey (which is very easy to fake) but i am wondering what my best option is:
-say i left my ID in my car anytime im carded
-use the fake

any experiences would be appreciated
