Default TPTK + nut flush draw facing a Strong move BUT I have lag image. WTF

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $328.74
BB: $203.35
UTG: $224.25
MP: $461.35
Hero (CO): $423.52
BTN: $237.75

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $7.00, BTN folds, SB calls $6.00, BB folds

Flop: ($16) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $13.00, SB calls $13.00

Turn: ($42) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $40.00, SB raises to $120.00, Hero?

My stats at the time are like 27/22/4.5, so image is laggy. But villain's stats are 43/11/0.60. He's acting so strong with his low aggression factor. Am I boned?

Good example of why to check the turn.

When I'm running particularly laggy, I find that 90% of the time, this is a huge hand trapping. Dump it.

I call, and re-eval on river. Probably calling if he bets around 1/2 pot. I find that bad players tend to overvalue there hands vs lags, so here he will def show up with AJ/A3/A2/33, but also with Ax, and random hands as well.

Why?

I get confused in this spot.

On the one hand: checking the turn.

- We induce a river bluff against hands we beat, but we lose out on value to those Ax hands we beat that would have called the turn and river.

- We keep the pot controlled for those times we're losing.

On the other hand: betting the turn.

- We extract value from Ax hands we beat.

- Although we're sometimes behind, we may hit our nut outs and win a big pot. But, we're not really folding out any better hands -- so we can't call this a semi-bluff.

- We're folding out some hands we beat that might bet the river if we checked the turn.

Anyhow, I'd really appreciate some guidance on this one.

Cause a 43/11 villian has a lot of crap aces in his range that will call and not c/r you. As well as a lot of heart draws. Plus he has a lag image meaning he will get called lighter than most...

There is nothing wrong with betting the turn. There's no reason to think we're behind, and to be honest, we don't really want pot control against this guy, we want his money

I understand the whole laggy image thing and reasons for betting turn, but I still think this is a great spot to check behind the turn. and Imagine when that club hits the riv and he has to bet/call for a shitton of money.

Including the fact that your club draw is backdoor, with very nice implied odds even when you are behind on the turn.
