Wow there slugger, you need to slow down some. You could definitely fold this on third if you want. There are three aces out and you've got a bad looking one way hand. These are usually nothing but trouble hands and should be mucked and this doesnt look like much of an exception. The main problem with playing this hand is that your 8 is in the door and everyone will know exactly how weak your hand is.

Fourth street: I really have no idea what the hell you are doing. If you are gonna try to knock ppl out do it the first time through (which I don't reccomend because it wont work) Fourth street is a complete spew. Call the first time through (you could even make a def. case for folding here) and not like it.

Fifth: A good case could be made for folding here as well as both aces caught good cards and you could very likely be drawing to a worse low or runner runner. The Jack paired his door so you're shot at high is about zippo. I think you should muck it here.

Sixth: I think you jamed the hell out of it because no one raised fifth street and you didn't put them on a made low. I still dont think it is a good play. You have a [censored] 87 low. Even if the 6 low isnt there, the 7 low could be and he isnt raising bc he's afraid of the 6. I would just call down and pray to get half at this point. You've already made the pot gignormous, no one is folding.

River: Checking is probably best because at least one of them had a draw to beat you, but I can't blame you for betting. Id really hate to be raised by a low though.

I think you put about 4-7 more BBs in the pot than you should have. I hope your read was right and that you got half.

This is a great hand for razz.
I try to make a point to myself to idenfity razz hands and always fold them.

Jeffage, what table are you at?

Having the 8 in the door puts you in the worst possible position as it is too easy for an opponent to have you board locked for low. Unless everyone else is showing high cards I normally wouldn't play this.

Could you give any reason for your play past 3rd? I looks positively spewtastic to me.

Ok, I suck at this game, but I'm working on it. I did have reasons thought - whether they were correct or not is another story. Here they are.

3rd Street: I would have folded but everyone called so I decided to make a loose call and see if I can catch good while others catch bad - I figure I'll see what develops.

4th Street: I decided to call one bet even though 5 and 7 caught good for low. When it came back to me for two more against two high hands, I thought if I capped I may eliminate one of the low hands potentially (or if going high).

5th: If there is a raise behind me, I'll fold. There isn't.

6th: I make my low and the guys behind me caught bad. Raise.

7th: River is a little dicey, but I decide to bet...when the first guy checkraises, I go for the overcall.

I'll now retreat back to high only lol. Curious if any of this makes sense.

Jeff

Your third-street hand is pretty crappy and it's a full bet. Easy fold. The raiser very likely has a better low draw than you. The callers should as well.

On fourth, it's a little odd that neither A2 nor A7 bet. I think that calling is fine. When it gets raised twice by high hands, I do like the cap to put some pressure on what are presumably weak low draws. Too bad no one folded.

On fifth, I call one bet and don't like it. You are correct that if one of the low board behind you folds, you're done with this hand.

On sixth, it looks like you've got the low, but you're vulnerable. The other low hands apparently don't have a Fold button, but I would want to try to force them out if at all possible. In any case, you've got the edge now, so you want to raise even if there's no chance that either of them will call.

On the river, you really think you have to check. The low guys were drawing to something better than your stinky 87. If they got there, your bet will only cost you money. If they didn't, they will only call if they can somehow delude themselves that they can somehow beat seat 2 for high. You've probably noticed that seat 2 likes his hand. Your opponents have probably noticed this too. I can't see any value in the river bet.

I can see your reasoning on every street, especially after reading everyone else's replies, but as a fellow novice of 8 or better, I have to think that folding this hand on 3rd would prevent huge compounding errors.

this hand is actually worse multiway than headsup in my opinion. Often you're drawing to an 8 low with no chance for high which is just asking to get scooped. 5th street is a definite pass as you're now potentially drawing dead.
