NL100 Trips face a bad turn card
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com
SB ($109.33) BB ($97.21) UTG ($206.73) Hero ($136.61) CO ($132.31) Button ($130.30) Preflop: Hero is MP with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $4</font>, CO calls $4, Button calls $4, SB calls $3.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>. Flop: ($17) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font> SB folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $13</font>, CO calls $13, Button folds. Turn: ($43) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $25</font>, Hero calls $25. River: ($93) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $48</font>, Hero folds. This felt kinda bad but I wasn't really sure how else to play it. CO is a tight TAG, 16/8/2.8 over 900 hands with a fold to cbet of 86%. Button is a huge station so it's real unlikely he was floating light on the flop. He could easily have called with 55 though and possibly a flopped straight in order to keep button in the hand. Anyone got a better line here? |

Re: NL100 Trips face a bad turn card
bet 34$ on turn, and then follow up on river.
As played call turn/river. He could have 55 but he could also have 66/77/88/99/TT. |

Re: NL100 Trips face a bad turn card
It's called a "set" when two of the cards are in your hand.
Anyhoo, this is a really crappy spot. I hate folding sets... I guess he *could* play an overpair like this after you show weakness on the turn, but normally he'd just show it down on the river in that case, so I guess I sigh and fold. |
