USPC Taj Mahal
Does anyone know how many players might be playing in the $300 preliminary NO Limit event at the Taj next week? Just wanted to know how many players might be in it and if the structure is any good with those 3500 in chips they start you with.

Re: USPC Taj Mahal
I dont know about the pre-lims,but I will assume the turn-out will be MUCH lighter than the past few years for all the events.
IMO if they get 100 runners for the 10k ME,it would be a miracle just due to the fact ESPN is not covering this anymore. ~stephen |

Re: USPC Taj Mahal
I played it last year and there were about 315 for the first $300 event. Not a very tough field. Don't remember the exact structure but the tourney played pretty fast. Biggest memory from the tourney was a guy passing out with about 3 tables left. We had to stop the tourney while he was taken away in a ambulance.

Re: USPC Taj Mahal
Do you think I should just play the 50K tournament at the Borgata. Just don't know if I should play that or the Taj.

[/ QUOTE ] The Borgata tourney is supposed to be using automatic shufflers, which makes the effective times of the levels longer. The problem is that often there are many shufflers down, which means they can't use them because it's all or none, you can't have just some tables running with automatic shufflers. If you go deep in the Borgata tourney, there usually is a huge chop because the stacks become miniscule in relation to the blinds. The USPC structures for the prelim events at the Taj are usually very good. I'd show up at the Taj around 11 to see how many are playing. If it's a big crowd, play, if not, head over to the Borgata. |

Re: USPC Taj Mahal
Where is there a link with the USPC Prelim Events' structure? I can't seem to find it on the Taj's website, though I may just be overlooking it. Do all preliminary events have the same structure?

Re: USPC Taj Mahal
Does anyone know how many entrants there were in the $300 NLHE event on Friday 9/21 and/or the $500 NLHE event on Saturday 9/22? No results posted yet on any websites, I just checked.

Re: USPC Taj Mahal
Friday is listed at 520; I don't see Saturday anywhere.
