Call or 4 bet KK here?
Villian is running 15/11 over 44.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $51.15 BB: $25.35 Hero (UTG): $27.70 CO: $40.20 BTN: $77.75 Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players) Hero raises to $1.00, 2 folds, SB raises to $3.00, BB folds, Hero calls $2.00 Flop: ($6.25) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB bets $4.00, Hero raises to $14.00, SB raises to $24.00, Hero raises all-in to $24.70, SB calls $0.70 I felt I could make a bit more money by calling the 3 bet and getting in on a low flop with an overpair vs smaller overpair which would most likely fold to the 4bet as it was narrow down my most likely range to QQ+ Saying that I've just switched to 6 max so I don't know whats standard here. Anyone suggest what they would do here? Don't mind comments on flop action as well. Cheers. |

Re: Call or 4 bet KK here?
i raise that up there,
the times an A flops and you either are behind, or it kills your action suck, and the times you get it in prf with QQ+,AK then we're well ahead. |

Re: Call or 4 bet KK here?
4 bet it man and hope he pushes AK /AQ/QQ and win the $$
You don't gain to much when you call and he has AK and the FLOP is low. |

Re: Call or 4 bet KK here?
If he folds preflop you win 13 BB's. That would be nice result on average for KK. If he calls with QQ+,AK you are in good shape. Raise preflop!

Re: Call or 4 bet KK here?
If you have a read that your opponent folds everything but AA/KK to a 4bet, then yes, you can call here. Why? Because you are in position and you want to extract the max from him.
Ya, it sucks if an ace flops. But sometimes its worth the risk. also, you are in position. So if an ace hits, you can call his cbet and reeval on the turn. We need to know your image though to evaluate if this is the correct play. Whats your pfr? Do you ever call 3bets all do you always fold or 4bet? has villian been 3betting you light? If this is the firs time he has 3bet me then I will probably 4bet. |

Re: Call or 4 bet KK here?
Gah, why has nobody mentioned our relative position when deciding if we should call this preflop raise or four-bet it?
Given that we're going to have position, that makes smooth-calling a tastier-than-usual option, here. We're getting stacked by AA in any case, but we're not necessarily stacking AK/QQ if we four-bet this. After all, a four-bet all-in is a hell of an overbet, and villain is likely to dump many hands. Also, a non all-in four-bet is going to really paint your hand as a supermonster, and villain will know what he's facing and be able to play well against you postflop. Pushing this hand preflop is rarely wrong. Smooth-calling this hand with position preflop is rarely wrong. With that paltry "read" (44 hands is less than nothing) I'm smooth-calling and helping him get it all-in on the flop. |

Re: Call or 4 bet KK here?
pretty much saying what pokey said smooth calling is goot IMO.
this guy seems tag/ his 3 bet range is prob narrow. 4 bet/push folds out pretty much everything we crush TT+ AK AQ and were are getting stacked agianst AA anyways so that is pretty irrelavent IMO. raise it up on the flop and hope to stack JJ QQ |
