Since you all is my boys, wanted to let you know the details of the trip I just started. Gonna just copy and paste an e-mail I sent to my folks with my itinerary.

• September 27: Arrive Seoul, South Korea. Go to “Westin Chosun” hotel.

• October 8: Be in Shanghai to begin Intrepid Tour “Best of China.”

• October 21: Conclude tour in Beijing.

• October 22 – November 9: Visit China/Japan independently.

• November 10: Be in Kathmandu to begin Intrepid Tour “Kathmandu to Delhi.”

• November 24: Conclude Tour in Delhi.

• November 28: Be in Bangkok to begin Intrepid Tour “The Great Indochina Loop.” [This tour includes Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.]

• December 26: Conclude tour in Bangkok.

• January 5: Be in Melbourne Australia for the Aussie Millions.


I'm really excited. I think I'm going to start updating my blog at mlagoo.blogspot.com regularly during my trip, regaling whoever is silly/bored enough to visit with tales of my misadventures.

Anyway writing this from my first-class lounge in Tokyo. Gonna hop on a plane to Seoul in a few minutes and check into my hotel. Check out these pics of the hotel/room I'm staying in:





Although hopefully I won't be spending too much time there, apart from the WCOOP ME. Gonna hook up with a couple friends who are in Seoul right now and wander around once I arrive tonight.

Time zone difference is 13 hours so WCOOP ME starts at like 5:30 AM. Heh.

Also the flight over was incredible. Took first-class on this airline called All Nippon Airways, with these amazing seats with a plugin for your laptop, which also reclined to 100% horizontal and came with a down comforter and pillow so you could sleep. Nice way to spend 13 hours in the air. I seriously was like never uncomfortable. Thank you PokerStars!

dude i've been thinking of planning a very similar trip.

i wouldn't do it with a tour group though. and i'd like to end up in australia around aussie millions time, and then stay in australia for about a year to work there.

actually probably not. i dont think im gonna make it.

i havent decided 100% yet, if i wake up tomorrow feeling motivated, ill play, but i think ill probably just do touristy stuff. we'll see.

checked into my hotel in seoul. its sick. gotta run now and meet up with some friends who are here teaching english.
