On another table earlier I saw him raise to $2.5 preflop with KK.

I am seen as 14/6/2.5 roughly so my image is tight. He should know I have a premium pocket pair.

I was reluctant to re-raise on the flop btw since his bet was very suspicious to me given my preflop action. If I re-raised and he me all in I would be commited to call in what I think is an awkward spot.

This is a standard call in my book. He could easily be doing this with QQ, TT, KK, AK, AJ...

zyrrth I have Ah so he can't have AhKh. He saw my large preflop raise and remember I am playing tight. He has played many hands with me, he puts me on a high pocket pair KK+ I guarantee it.

I must have missed this large preflop raise you speak of. Play looser and 3bet more if you really think that players will put you on KK+ every time you 3bet. I just don't think you can put him on a set here.

I agree, when the pot is raised you can manipulate your SPR to a nice low figure and plan to commit on the flop.
Making it $3.5 will probably get as much action as $2.5 and slashes the villans implied odds.
