Default what kind of CPU do I need?

Hi,
a friend of mine is going to build a computer for me. In addition to 2 GB of RAM he simply suggests this cheap CPU:

- AMD Sempron 64 3600+ 2.0 GHz Socket AM2
256KB Cache, "Manila", 90nm, Boxed

I am going to 8-table on party with PT and HUD and some AHK scripts like Partyplanner etc along with AIM, Word and firefox running at the same time. Will the suggested CPU be good enough?

Thanks,
a

Probably, however in todays age I would ask for a dual core instead.

No. You can get an AMD dual-core processor for very little money these days. The one he's suggesting is almost worthless.

That's a pretty bad suggestion. Too be safe, I might run everything else by this forum before you buy.

It should be fine. Although I would echo a previous response and recommend a dual core chip.
