Default flopped set, line check

Just sat down, this is my 2nd hand at this table. I dont know anyone. Im just curious what people think of my turn check and river raise. I'm afraid the turn check might be pretty bad. Thanks

i donk like the turn check, id bet like 35 and fold if they shoved, if they flatted id probably vbet river too

i like the river raise though after you checked the turn, his bet looks pretty weak and your raise is small enough to get called by a lot of stuff

i think i would b/f turn vs an unknown.
this line is alright tho, his river bet is obv a blocker bet so yeah a small value raise is good.

edit: it looks like you posted a blind OOP if this is your second hand, just wait for the blinds to come round, it will save you A LOT of money in the long run.

I bet/fold the turn. If I bet the turn and they flat call, I'm only calling the river or checking behind. Your hand has showdown value, but 56, a flush, or a higher set is possible.

Turn check is fine. River raise is absolutely terrible.

Seriously? That river bet is such a blocker, I'm raising it for value all day.

ya, its easier to get value here when the turn card is not higher than Jack because now he isn't as likely to call with Jx but i think this is still fine

If anyone has the link to the thread where Grimstarr posts a similar hand with top set and amoeba schools him on why to check the turn, that would be sweet. I believe the thread was called 'save the money or burn it'

I like how this hand was played.
