If he's a decent regular it's probably fair to suggest that he knows what's +EV from this spot.

For me the critical thing here is that I think with 7BB left he is not that desperate, so maybe the bottom end of his range shrinks a bit. Against 77+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,ATo+,KQo you are an underdog. Can he be pushing wider than that? Knowing if he pushes any PP might make the difference to make it a call.

I'm inclined to fold but would totally defer to people who play at this level.

i wouldnt call this. most of the time its a flip and i think you can find better spots..

i also fold TT here- i call with JJ..what u think? im little to tight?

standard range for villain is: 44+ A8+ A4s+ KJs+ (seems a bit loose, eh?)
With this range, 88+ AJs+ AQ+ are good for a call.

So 88 is a fold.
