200NL - AK flops TPTK and is min-raised on dry flop
Villain is 21/6/4 and no reads to speak of apart from the numbers.

I think you have to decide here and now if youre willing to stack off. If youre not just fold, if you are smooth call and try to get it all in on the turn.

Call, check call turn and evaluate river would be my standard line without reads.

Altho given bet sizes I can see this doesnt leave much of a river decision if he bets pot on the turn. I would actually fold in that instance.

call down. this board is so dry, he has KQ/AK here a lot i think.

Re: 200NL - AK flops TPTK and is min-raised on dry flop
I usually fold in these spots unless the villian is a tricky bastard.
I occasionally do those stupid min bets to try to represent a noob playing a set. Its just so obv though...evaluate and I fold here 80%+ of the time. The rule is this: you spot a man's tell, you don't say a [censored] word. |

Re: 200NL - AK flops TPTK and is min-raised on dry flop
What do you guys think about checking this flop through? I mean if we bet we probably take it down or find ourselves in the trouble of being called or raised in which case we almost for certain have to check the turn and loose control in the hand. This is indeed a crappy spot, certainly without reads; seen the fact that you raised UTG I think villain should somehow realise that you have a reasonable good hand (don't know your exact style), which makes the chance that he is playing with middlepairs less likely (although he is very aggressive). I think he is preparing you for getting it all in there, I mean if he had KQ he could have just called and evaluated the turn (check behind) and call river.

OK.
Hero calls. Turn is 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero checks, Villain bets 70. Hero?? |
