QQ preflop
Original raiser is a mega donk.
Main villian is 21/17/4 over fairly large sample. Pretty solid TAG. Normally i probably call against this type of player but his small 3bet against the donk makes me believe he has AA/KK, i would have thought he's raise more with AK. What you think? Am i just being a nit. My image is TAG but ihaven't been 3betting him that often. Cryptologic No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $2/$5 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $1128.75 Button: $500 Hero: $869.25 BB: $753.70 Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $10</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $40</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $140</font>, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises all-in $500</font>, Hero folds. Uncalled bets: $360 returned to Button. Results: Final pot: $295 |

Re: QQ preflop
I call, I think AK has to be in his pushing range here, which is enough to make this a call, without even including anything else he might shove with
And he's 3-bet a minraise from a donk which means his range is still basically his button opening range at that point. Which should widen ranges accordingly throughout the hand. Basically a long-winded way to say definitely call |

Re: QQ preflop
if BTN is observant and thinks you are as well, this will be AK a lottttt. He would know that you recognize he is isolating a donk ip and know that u can 3bet him very light....making his AK far ahead of your range. Calling here is fine, folding is also fine as aa/kk do make up part of his range. This same situation happened to me vs tay and he flipped ak.

Re: QQ preflop
let me add that many solid regs OTB here will flat call with kk/aa a lot to squeeze out more money, making this an even more profitable call

Re: QQ preflop
if you can't profitably call this, you need to loosen up

Re: QQ preflop
a 4-bet is mandatory here, the tags range for the small reraise is huge, there is no way you should be narrowing him down to AA/KK/AK at that point. once you 4-bet i think you have to call the push.

Re: QQ preflop
Umm, please fold. You've just been 5 bet preflop, in a spot where Button HAS to assume he will be called. If his range consists of AA/KK/AK, this would seemingly be pretty easy.

You need to be getting all in with QQ preflop for 100bb in almost all cases, especially when you are making a squeeze play |
