Default Overpair on the flop, no clue where I\'m at..

Villain looks like a pretty decent player, unfortunately don't have pokertracker at the moment, but he's playing solid..

Full Tilt Poker Game (6 max) - $0.25/$0.50 - No Limit Hold'em
Seat 1: UTG (Villain) ($58.85)
Seat 2: Hero ($50)
Seat 3: BTN ($38.70)
Seat 4: SB($42.80)
Seat 6: BB ($11.55)

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to dizzyphantom [J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
Villain raises to $2
Hero calls $2
BTN folds
SB folds
BB calls
*** FLOP *** [8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]]
BB checks
Villain bets $5
Hero raises to $16
BB folds
Villain raises to $50
Hero has probably put himself in a sticky spot with not 3-betting this pf, but is beat here right?

Well his range is overpairs or a set. I'd be reraising preflop here to see what he has.

yes...you are usually beat here.

Your raise doesn't really accomplish much when you think about it. It basically allows him to play perfectly and puts FE on his side.

As played I would call flop and jam the turn. By that point the FE is on your side with what could quite posibly be the best hand.
