Default Ankle Injury - Treatment Question

So my ankle got injured a couple of months ago, a soccer ball hit it hard and twisted it and I sat out for a couple of days. Since then it never healed fully, it will vacilate between 80% and 95% strength although once in a while Iīll step the wrong way or kick the wrong way and hurt it again.

I went ot the doctor who gave me a shot of this baby, Diclofenac in the butt, and then had me get Diclofenac patches 5, which last about 12 hours, and he didnīt explain it to me that well but Iīm wearing them on the injury all 5 patches until they run out.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diclofenac

Again the doctor didnīt explain this to me, it says this is an anti inflamatory drug, so my question is, wonīt this just hide the inflamation or the pain... hide the problem, and not solve it? Anyone have experience or understanding of this treatment that they could share? Also ankle strengthing training. Thanks

Do therabands or some variation. It'll take a long long time to heal if you hurt it badly.

you need to strenghen it again. do rubber band exercises. if you dont have a rubber band just locking your ankle then rotating it thru a circular motion will help a lot. do it for a few minutes a few times a day.

also, taping your ankle before you play will greatly reduce the risk of reinjury.
