Default 200 NL, JJ 3-bet pot.

I have villain as 11/9 over around 800 hands, although that's from full ring. 15/13 at 6-max over a smaller sample. A nitty TAG basically.

Hero is around 24/20/4.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $408.70
BB: $205.00
UTG: $229.80
CO: $337.20
BTN: $200.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG folds, CO raises to $8.00, BTN folds, Hero raises to $27.00, BB folds, CO calls $19.00

Flop: ($56) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, CO checks
I don't think he'll call with worse, so I check/call here.

Turn: ($56) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $40.00, CO calls $40.00
I bet here to protect my hand.

River: ($136) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks.
I check/fold at this point because I can't beat much.

I think it's all good, although I'm not going to check/fold by default on the riv until we see how much he bets.

what are you doing if you he bets the flop? C/R or C/C?

If he calls a check raise what are you doing on the turn assuming its a blank?

If you check call what are you doing on turn assuming blank?

Betting flop much better imo

Probably check/fold because he's unlikely to bet an underpair or a draw twice. I'd give him credit for AQ or better.

Does he call with TT though? Probably not.

Well played! I liked it all. He's nitty, I just don't think he did some delayed float at you, so a c/f at the river seems nice. He will check behind the majority of the time, and then you'll win it almost always. If the river had blanked you should make a small vb obviously.

How do you guys play this against more aggro/tricky opponents? Say 21/17/3,5.

He's tight, but he's raising most of the hands that he plays, so 3-betting JJ shouldn't be unprofitable against his range.

If his stats were like 15/4 or something then flat-calling is definitely better.

Played well, i check fold the river pretty much regardless of the bet size. If the river had come something like the 5d, i'd probably call a smaller bet. Here though, I dont think he bets anything worse than a str8.
