KT 3 streets cross posted
villan is passive post and very loose pre. i've seen him limp alot. he gets mildly aggro when he does have a hand.
saw this one: i open in CO, sb (villan) calls, BB squeezes with AA, i fold, sb (villan) calls. flop comes 89xr, sb(villan) c/c-es, turn comes T, sb(villan) c/r-es small with QJo and stacks the AA. so yeah, fairly passive i would say. hero shouldnt have any history just playing a tag game. Absolute Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $202.20 UTG+1: $427.65 CO: $83.15 orange: $399 SB: $245.30 BB: $412.94 Pre-flop: (6 players) orange is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 folds, orange raises to $6, SB folds, BB calls. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($13, 2 players) BB checks, orange bets $10, BB calls. Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($33, 2 players) BB checks, orange bets $25, BB calls. River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($83, 2 players) BB checks, orange bets $55 thoughts? i'll go street by street after. |

Re: KT 3 streets cross posted
i like it given villain, you're probably being looked up by weaker pocket pairs and all weaker Ts, 7s and 5s you're not being raised by hands you lose to, so the value is all there baby.
What's the fuss? |

Re: KT 3 streets cross posted
looks ok i think. Villain probably looks you up with 44, 88, 99, Tx, 7x, 5x...and it'll be an easy laydown if he raises.
Alot of times I become a wuss bag and check behind here because I never know what donks are calling 2 streets with...i'm not sure how big of a leak this may or may not be |

Re: KT 3 streets cross posted
Passive...but does he call down with weak hands?
89 got there, diamonds got there. I probably bet the turn. But I'd check behind on the river. Also is there a reason for the raise to 6 pre-flop? |

Re: KT 3 streets cross posted
Lego,
I raised to $6 pf in position. I like raising smaller in position, helps with pot control, makes it easier to steal with hands like 78o without risking as much, etc. And yeah, its an easy b/f all around. |

Re: KT 3 streets cross posted
I can see the logic, "he didnt raise when all the draws hit so he doesnt have any of them" but IMO the pool of hands which a)you beat and b) are going to call this river bet are so small that for me this is an easy check behind. Note that I think you have much bigger stones than me...

Re: KT 3 streets cross posted
He's a passive player, so the flop is fine... but will he showdown with a worse hand than you have is the question? Is it a situation where only better hands will call?
B/F seems okay to me though. |

Re: KT 3 streets cross posted
if were expecting to get called by any pair, and maybe even A high, I like it. I think your behind a pretty good chunk of the time here though.

Re: KT 3 streets cross posted
I posted this hand because I think that value betting is definitely an area in which many players (myself included) need to improve on. Oftentimes our opponents are very loose and generally passive, so we should take advantage of this.
