Checking the turn is a good way to keep the pot small in this situation, you miss some value from J but betting makes your decision on the river hard if he leads out. Your line seems fine.

I think this type of villain c/r flop with a draw, so I would bet3b flop. B/call the turn. I like the river call, he is tricky, not stupid, and I doubt he calls a raise to 35 with a Qc

If he had a big combo draw he would have b3b the flop or cr big. I think it's safe to say he has a QJ, AJ here. I think your line is ok, some may bet the turn and I might vs certain opponents who are stubborn and hate to fold.
