so bbv...wireless question whats your router/adapter
im tired of this [censored] network always kicking me off. i have this router d link wbr-1310 and then a built in N adapter on my dell laptop that seems to get a lot better range than my other belkin g adapter on my desktop. the belkin adapter is literally 3 ft from the router with one wall in between. and yet still drops connection at least once an hour.
so im asking if what you have works well what kind of router and adapter are you using. i was looking at this router http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833124084 just because its expensive as [censored] so im guessing it works. |

I doubt you need that. Just get one of the routers that have a 5 egg average rating.

However the WRT54GL lacks processing power. Using it as an IPSec VPN concentrator revealed its limits. Total (not per connection) IPSec throughput is limited at around 500 kbyte/s. That's pretty damn slow compared to Ciscos. |
