with no reads you should fold to his 3bet.

I probably play it the same...you have enough equity against his range to make getting it in on the flop profitable.

I am for betting the flop instead of checking.

I'm in position here guys. Villain checked; if I check we're seeing the turn for free (which, of course, may or may not be a good thing, depends on what it is).

Why though? We might be able to take it down here on the flop, and even if we get raised we don't mind at all because we have an equity edge versus any overpair

Does a better hand ever fold on the flop?

I think this is the most overrated hand in poker.
Toppair with no kicker and a flush draw, which isnt the NFD.
We flip here most of the time. He got an overpair 100% of the time. And i doubt that he got 99. No overpair will fold on the flop, since he gets super odds after his reraise.

I put him on TT+ and AK of spades, that's what pokerstove says:
Board: Td 7s 3s
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 51.981% 51.98% 00.00% 13380 0.00 { TT+, AsKs }
Hand 1: 48.019% 48.02% 00.00% 12360 0.00 { Ts9s }

We are flipping here. Without FE we cant call here profitable, or maybe slightly profitable. Imo this is a fold.

Checking the flop would have been a better idea.

I like a flop check too. You are getting c/r here 90% of the time or more. A free card isn't going to hurt our hand. You aren't really betting for value. Of course, I don't fault getting it all in here either.
