Have never played with the villain before, wondering primarily:

1) Do you bet turn?
2) Do you bet river if checked to?
3) Whats your river calling range?

It makes him much less likely to have a bigger 8 if you have 8x

Without any agressive history I like to check this turn.

River is also a fold without reads. If he makes moves like this regularly you'll pick it up soon enough and stack him.

AQ does not = 8x as far as I'm concerned. QJ = 8x maybe.

I think he shows up with T9 way more often then does 8x anyways. Board seems thin for him to run a lead shove bluff on you and expect it to work a decent amount of time with the strength you have shown. Fold.

Not trying to call with AQ here, I just think he has T9 here often enough, given the flop call, that I think checking behind turn > calling river.

But I can't put him on T9 comfortably UNTIL the river. So checking the turn loses alot of value from Qx,Jx,and 8x.

Also,if I checked the turn I would want to call river more often because our line allows him to bluff with a wider range of hands and value bet thinner because of this (given that we are taking a classic pot control line). The turn was played perfectly as far as I'm concerned.

I think he is unlikely to make a mistake if you bet the turn and you may get bluffraised, so I check to induce a bluff or a check-call on the river. It also helps balancing so all your checks arenīt weak hands.
