Extreme college sleep cycles

my last semester of college in boston, which was a summer, i had the worst schedule of all 4 years, 8 am classes 5 days a week, which was a huge bummer and conflicted with east coast poker playing so for that whole summer i did something a little crazy

i slept from 2pm to 9 pm, played poker live/online from 9-6 am, did and work i needed to do from 6-8am, then went to class rested while everyone else was still half asleep

the only problem with this is i was the only one passing out in 1 o'clock classes, upsides were i was able to play long hours of poker at peak times, get all my work done, and be free at night to hang out with friends

this only works if you have your own room though as any roomate you had would quickly grow sick of you sleeping "all day"

I always had a fellow poker playing roommate, and we would stay up until breakfast, go eat and then sleep until afternoon classes, or in his case, he just scheduled evening classes.

I had class over the summer, and my standard cycle turned into sleeping from noon until 8pm, waking up and getting dinner, working out 10-11pm, playing poker and doing homework all night, going to 8:40-11am class, getting lunch, then sleep.

wake up at 11 and play video games til 1

go pick up lunch, come back and eat it while watching tv

go to the gym, then take a nap til 6

go get dinner, come back and play more video games til 8

take a shower, get dressed, get alcohol til 9

drink from 9-2am, bring girl home, have sloppy drunk sex til 3.

sleep from 3-9. wake up to help girl find her shoes if she didn't leave night before.

back to sleep til 11.

wake up, eat pizza sitting on counter that roommate ordered since he didn't bring girl home.

decide eating wasn't best idea, back to bed til 1.


rinse and repeat.
