Using any pokersite on resnet

I can't get any poker site to work well. The connection is always sooo bad and so slow yet it is a 5 megabit connection. What is going on? It is resnet and I'm at the University of Western Ontario.

Sounds like a shared connection between yourself and others. 5Mb is not that much and if multiple people are downloading movies/mp3's etc, 5Mb will get chewed up really fast.
