girlfriend and poker

Hey all.

so here is the story...

My girlfriend is fairly anti-gambling, so she doesn't like me playing poker. She accepts it, but under sufferance. She doesn't understand enough about the game and variance, etc to realise that I am a very conservative gambler and am making money playing poker (and likely to continue to win long term)

I explain it as my social time - instead of going to the pub with my mates we play poker. This works ok. HOWEVER i can't apply this to playing online. This is where I make my money, and when she wants to spend time together (most of the time), I've gotta make an excuse.

How do I get myself some more online time short of dumping her?

You cant. She's gotta go. I've been there my friend, you're not going to get your online time with a psycho girlfriend.

Find a girlfriend who loves money. Your current girl obv hates monies.

i've done pretty well explaining the variance of poker to ignorant people. i think the main factor is confidence.

you may have to choose between her and poker.
